Phil Karmel and Nora Faris will join the faculty for the upcoming Practising Law Institute (PLI) full-day conference, Environmental Regulation in Practice 2024.

The September 20 event will include discussions on environmental, social and governance (ESG), environmental litigation, chemical regulation, environmental review, cost-benefit analysis, the Clean Air Act and the myriad of legal issues arising from a hypothetical environmental disaster.

Phil will co-chair the conference and present on environmental, cost-benefit analysis, the Clean Air Act and related legal developments. Phil has broad experience serving as litigation and regulatory counsel in environmental, land use, real estate and toxic tort matters. He is a frequent speaker and author on environmental and land use law.  He is a partner in BCLP’s New York office.

Nora will join a panel presentation centered on ESG legal controversies.  Her presentation will focus on trends in greenwashing litigation and enforcement affecting the food/agribusiness, fashion, consumer products, and transportation sectors.  Nora represents developers of agricultural inputs (pesticides, fertilizers, and seeds), raw material and ingredient manufacturers, and consumer products companies and retailers, advising on regulatory compliance, chemical stewardship, and advertising/marketing challenges across the entire value chain.  She is an associate in BCLP’s Denver and St. Louis offices.

Register for this event through PLI. Attendees can join in person in New York or watch online.
