BCLP appoints David Dunnigan as Senior Consultant to Corporate and Finance Transactions Department in London
May 31, 2023International law firm BCLP has appointed David Dunnigan, longtime partner and former global head of the Capital Markets Practice at Clifford Chance, as senior consultant to the Corporate and Finance Transactions department.
In this role, David will work closely with the department’s European Regional Leader, Simon Beddow, to support BCLP’s ambitions across EMEA.
A leading debt capital markets practitioner, David has an extremely broad practice, representing both issuers and underwriters, and has advised banks, corporates, sovereigns, and multilaterals around the globe and across the credit spectrum. David also has significant experience of working in both developed and developing markets.
Of the hire, BCLP’s Simon Beddow said, “David is an immediate asset to our clients in this space around the globe. His reputation, tremendous experience, and breadth of knowledge precedes him, and will help us as we scale our presence here and become more closely connected to the evolving needs of our clients.”
David’s arrival is the latest significant move for BCLP in the UK, following the addition earlier this month of David Rundle, regulatory enforcement and white collar partner from WilmerHale in London, and the addition of partners Kristina Middleton and Jessica Parry, who both joined the firm’s Manchester office in Real Estate and Real Estate Disputes respectively. Late last year, Taslima Salam also joined the Manchester office from Eversheds as Real Estate Finance partner. Luke Mines and Chris Beaumont-McQuillan also joined the firm’s growing Corporate Real Estate and Funds team in London.
These moves continue BCLP’s emphasis on building around strategic ‘multipliers’ who can leverage the firm’s global platform with multi-office, multi-disciplinary practices to serve its international client base.
