International law firm BCLP announced today the opening of an office in Seattle – the firm’s first in the Pacific Northwest – which has grown into a significant litigation hub for its clients.

Following the firm’s clients into the region, Seattle is a major center for the technology and life sciences industries with numerous Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the metro area. The Pacific Northwest perennially fosters numerous technology spinouts and startups as well, making Seattle a dynamic international business center for top brands from around the globe. At the same time, BCLP has represented clients in the courts throughout the Pacific Northwest for a number of years, including a variety of longtime clients.

The firm’s Seattle office will be led by new BCLP partners Jennifer Campbell and Allison Krashan, litigators who join from Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt, a Portland-headquartered firm where they were shareholders.

“This addition of a dynamic and well-positioned litigation team is the perfect springboard for BCLP in Seattle,” said BCLP Co-Chairs Lisa Mayhew and Steve Baumer. “It’s a vibrant market for our clients, and we expect to continue expanding our presence in the Pacific Northwest to best serve them as the year unfolds.”

A trial attorney with more than 20 years of experience, Jennifer is noted as a skilled litigator in product liability, toxic torts and commercial litigation matters. Jennifer focuses her practice on the defense of chemical, pharmaceutical, heavy equipment and food manufacturers in product liability and toxic tort lawsuits. Allison defends clients at all stages of litigation and has extensive experience in product liability, environmental and toxic torts, and commercial litigation matters. Allison focuses her practice on the defense of chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers, as well as retailers and property owners.

“Handling the explosive growth in class actions and mass torts is a major priority for our clients around the globe,” said Lee Marshall, global department leader of BCLP’s Litigation & Investigations Practice. “In Seattle, we’ve had the opportunity to work side-by-side with Jenn and Allison, who provide us with a tremendous – and proven – presence on the ground to help lead and expand the important work we’ve been doing there for years.”

Seattle marks BCLP’s 31st office and its first new U.S. location since the opening of the Miami office in 2014. The firm is finalizing the details of its Seattle office lease, which it expects to move into this summer.

This is also the latest milestone for the firm as it builds momentum in 2023. BCLP has started the year with eight lateral partner additions, maintaining its focus on strategic hires who can take full advantage of the firm’s growing platform to best serve clients around the globe. Most recently, BCLP announced the arrival of partner Rob Crea, who joined earlier this month as the firm’s new U.S. Head of Fund Formation with deep experience in private funds, venture capital, and digital assets.
