BCLP advised Société Générale on the financing of two photovoltaic power plants for Corsica Sole on the Pithiviers (Loiret) and Cirey-sur-Vezouze (Meurthe-et-Moselle) sites in France.

Corsica Sole, an independent producer of renewable energy, announced that financing has been finalized for these two new photovoltaic power plants, developed on a former industrial wasteland.

Scheduled for commissioning this summer, the two solar power plants will generate 21 GWh of green electricity each year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 12,000 people with heating. The project will thus contribute to reducing CO2 emissions, avoiding the emission of around 6,488 tonnes of CO2 per year.

The senior debt was fully underwritten by Société Générale, which acted as arranger, agent, security agent, lender, and hedging bank for the transaction.

The BCLP team comprised Partner and co-head of the Energy Transition sector David Blonde, and Senior Associate Charles Sechao on the financing aspects. Partner Jean-Pierre Delvigne and Senior Associate Michaël Haddak advised on projects and energy aspects.
