International law firm BCLP advised BPCE Energeco, Banque Populaire Val de France and Natixis on the subscription of €27 million in long-term debt by the UNITe group, a Lyon-based renewable energy producer in which Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen holds a majority stake.

With a maturity of 23 years, this financing is intended to support the construction of a 29 MWp photovoltaic aviary above a 40-hectare pheasant farm in the Loiret region (45). Scheduled for operation in the summer of 2025, this project will improve animal comfort by protecting the animals from the sun and migratory birds.

With this financing, UNITe will expand its solar business and aims to deploy more than €1 billion in capex over the next 10 years.

BCLP's team comprised David Blondel (Finance Partner and Co-Leader of the Energy Transition practice), Gwenael Fassot (Associate) and Fabien Lambert (Associate) for the financing aspects, and Jean-Pierre Delvigne (Energy and Environmental Law Partner) and Alice Léveillé (Associate) for the legal audit aspects.

This transaction confirms BCLP's ability to act on all types of projects linked to the energy transition, as well as the synergy between its departments.
