International law firm BCLP advised FOM Real Estate on the refinancing of the Maas Tower in Rotterdam by a group of investors led by FOM Group.

Two insurance companies of ERGO Group AG provided the mortgage-backed loan of approximately €140 million with a seven-year term. With the capital commitment, FOM replaces an existing financing.

Completed in 2009, the Maas Tower is the tallest office building in the Benelux countries with a height of 165 meters. The leasable area comprises around 39,000 sq. m and extends over 44 floors. The multi-tenant property is 98% leased, with Deloitte and the Dutch government being among the main tenants.

FOM Real Estate is one of the leading players in commercial real estate. Since 1997, the company has realized 26 major projects. Since 2020, the business segment of FOM Group has been complemented by FOM Invest GmbH. This company is licensed as an AIF capital management company in accordance with the KAGB.

A BCLP team led by Frankfurt financing Partners Frank Schwem and Torsten Pokropp advised FOM Real Estate on this transaction.
