International law firm BCLP has advised Cheyne Capital on its joint venture with Regal to develop two purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) buildings in Wembley, North West London. The development is targeting BREEAM “Outstanding” and will seek to be amongst the first PBSA projects in the UK to be WELL Platinum certified. The scheme will deliver 998 student bedrooms and incorporate new public realm areas with accessible greenery, seating and play spaces while helping to meet London’s student demand by providing convenient access to universities including Regent’s College London, Middlesex University, the University of Westminster, and the University Campus of Football Business.

Benedict West, Partner for Real Estate Finance at BCLP, commented: “We are delighted to have worked with long-standing client Cheyne Capital on their investment in this significant development. The BCLP team collaborated to deliver this transaction and bring all of the workstreams together across finance, corporate, real estate, planning, construction and tax. This transaction underlines BCLP’s strength in depth and expertise across all aspects of real estate.”
