International law firm BCLP advised STEF SA, a European specialist in cold logistics for temperature sensitive and agricultural food products (listed on Euronext Paris), on the agreement to acquire Langdon Group Limited from Nagel Group. Completion of the transaction, which is scheduled for the end of the year, is conditional on the satisfaction of certain conditions, including regulatory approvals in the UK and Germany.

Langdon Group provides temperature-controlled haulage, distribution and warehousing services for chilled and frozen food within the UK and continental Europe, and operates at eight sites in the UK. The acquisition will grow the geographic footprint of STEF, which is not currently present in the UK, as well as continuing its expansion strategy following a number of previous acquisitions in Europe.

BCLP's international multidisciplinary team was led by M&A and Corporate Finance Partner Jinal Shah, supported by teams from mergers & acquisitions (Derryn Visser, Amelia Jansen, Elizabeth Wong, Cecilie Sørvig and Conor McDonald with German law support from Tonio Sadoni and Laura Niemann), real estate (Ruth Miller, Bethany Cook and Jack Davies), planning (Helen Wood, Sheridan Treger and Isabel Laborde), construction (James Clarke and Ravinder Bhavra), tax (Richard Harbot) and pensions (David Dennison).
