In this note we set out a menu of possible options available to landlords whose tenants already have, or likely will, default on rent payments and other lease obligations, with some practical tips. Before taking any action in response to a tenant default, landlords should first consider whether their priority is to get paid or get the premises back, and ensure that they don't prejudice their ability to achieve this.
